FULL REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED BY JUNE 1
A Unique Kentucky Experience
All persons who register by June 1 will be eligible for a random drawing to win the following:
- Overnight stay and breakfast at the Historic Old Talbott Inn in Bardstown, Kentucky, one of the most beautiful small towns in America. It was the Western end of the roads from Virginia. The Inn was built in 1779 and has been called the oldest western stagecoach stop in America. It was a haven of hospitality to those sturdy pioneers who carved an empire out of the threatening wilderness. You can add your name along with Andrew Jackson, Henry Harrison, George Rogers Clark, Stephen Foster , Abraham Lincoln and others who have enjoyed cheers and warmth at the Inn. You could even see the ghost of Jesse James who left some bullet holes during his visit.
- Nearby sites include the historic Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, the former cathedral of the Diocese of Bardstown, and now a parish church. French priest Benedict Joseph Flaget, “First Bishop of the American West,” shepherded the Diocese of Bardstown, the first inland diocese in the U.S established in 1808.
- While visiting you might want to check out nearby distilleries at Heavin Hill, one of Kentucky’s oldest, and the Willett Distillery, a fine craft bourbon maker.
Arrangements will need to be made by the winner with the Inn and may be redeemed through July 1, 2019
